Well, this probably isn't the best way to make a happy announcement like this, but Emily is expecting our third child in May. She is also in the hospital for dehydration. She is doing fine, and will probably get to come home either tomorrow or Monday. Sorry we didn't get to tell some of you in the way that we wanted to, but we are a little indisposed at the moment.
Emily hasn't eaten any solid food since Tuesday, and she is still very weak.
Thanks to everyone for the calls and concern.

Congratulations!!!
Children are a blessing!!!
OOOOOH my goodness!! congrats!!! i can't believe i had to hear about it this way! did you know about this the whole time i was there last month??? if so, i'm MAAAAD! emily is always so sick, poor thing! emily, whatever happened to our conversation we had in florida?!! this is so fun! someone's pg besides me!!! we make a pretty good tag team! let me tell you one thing, busters, you're not going to do it to me again! no, not this time!! mark my words, i will not be PG this time next year--NO WAY!! too many exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!
jonathan, no wonder you haven't been blogging for two weeks!! hehe. a little more family responsibilities lately???
Sweeeeeeeet!! And I just asked her when you guys were going to have more! It's like I knew. Ok, I didn't know anything, but I can pretend I'm intuitive. Congratulation!
So you had to rain on the Goodwin parade and have your third too. Well good for you guys! Way to fulfill the Gospel. How about this? First couple to five gets their plots in the nearest cemetary paid for by the other couple? What do you say?
Thanks guys. We haven't known long at all. Yes, I've been very busy with responsibilities as the pater familias.
how is emily today? the florida wave erased y'all's #s from my cell phone--plus it's dead right now anyway. dad just got home--he said he didn't see you at all. updates? is there anything we can do to help, long distance? i'm guessing she has about 8 weeks to go to feel like this--what a disaster! now might be a good time to consider hiring a temporary weekly or bimonthly housekeeper....just an opinion from a woman's perspective there. poor emily...poor poor emily!! i was only sick the first pregnancy, so i don't know what it's like to be sick AND have little ones to take care of. i simply can't imagine. i caught wind of a scented trashbag today and was reminded of the "bad old days" of being pregnant-sick. it feels like it will never end. give her all my love and sympathies please! and let me know if there's anything i can do.
Ashley,
We are home now, and Emily is doing well. We have a girl come and clean twice a week and the girls are in a "mother's day out" program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Thanks for the offer of help, and I'll let you know if you can do anything.
Thanks,
Jon
THAT'S AWESOME!! good boy!
