Cute and Funny Interchanges

I have been inspired by my good friends Kristen and Scott over at The Dunn Show to blog on dialogue that happens in my house hold. So I will start with humor and end on cuteness.

Daddy: Addie, why did you get out of bed?
Addie: Because I did.
Daddy: That's not a reason. You said you needed to poo-poo, but you really didn't. Why did you say you needed to poo-poo?
Addie: It's a reason!?
Daddy: (Through laughter) Well, you said you needed to, but you really didn't. What do you call it when you say something is true but it really isn't?
Addie: A mystery!

While rocking Addie before bedtime.

Daddy: I'm glad God gave you to me.
Addie: Thank you for saying that.

this is the best stuff. i can't wait to hear what bradley will say when he talks more.

did you read my post on "immoral spending"? what % of yearly income do you think most families spend on christmas?

Yes Ashley I read all of your blog entries. It was very good, and honest (as usual). I have no idea what percentage of income people spend on Christmas, I'm sure ya'll are below the norm.
It is alarming to me that our culture has turned Christmas time into an opportunity to worship the god of consumption.
I hope to write a post on these things as well. Thanks for the reminder.

It seems like I remember similar interchanges like this one between you and Brian.

I think she is going to be a good "arguer" like you and Brian.

We're on the front page! Yeah! Oh, Pride, you make me feel so good!

I love how Addie thinks. It's pretty obvious the wheels in her little brain are turning. How adorable!

Watch out! Pretty soon she'll be saying, "It depends on what the definition of the word 'is' is."

And, I'm glad she's getting rocked!
She's so precious.
