Does Anyone (Besides Me) Think I Use Parentheses Too Often? (Be Honest)

In our ever changing world of language, we must find ways to creatively and clearly communicate. Sometimes it even means to make up words (like "literality," or "enoughness"). Short headlines to describe yourself seldom work anymore. For instance, it is not enough to say "I'm a Christian" for anyone to know what you actually mean. I could say that and mean something completely different from what my Mormon friends would mean by that same statement. Communication and language are fascinating to me. The changing connotations of words cry out for definition. In order for us to be clear in our communication we must continually go back to the drawing board. We must not be afraid to look stupid. We must ask questions. We must answer questions. We must criticize candidly and constructively. We must be willing to take criticism without being destroyed.

Bonus points to the one who can comment on the significance of the photo (I know it's too easy).

Me! Me! I want bonus points! But I'm scared of being wrong too!
My guess is from "Cool Hand Luke" - what we have here is a failya to communicate.

Oh, and I think you use parentheses appropriately.

Winner winner chicken dinner! I award you 10,000 points, too bad they count as much as the points on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

You stated that you wanted to be open and willingly recieve criticism, yet you erased my critic of your "pithy" comments post the other day. What's up with that?

Jason,

Here's a criticism for you. "Recieve" is spelled receive. And the word you should have used instead of "critic" is critique.

P.S. Don't get your feelings hurt. This is in the spirit of the post.

Jason,
Do as I say not as I do!

I take no offense Chuck. Thank you for correcting my grammatical errors. I was wondering are you also available to look over my manuscript each week for my Sunday morning sermon? Any help that you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
