Never underestimate the power of words. What are some of your favorite (short) quotes from books, sermons, heros, parents etc? If it's a really good one I'll post it.
I like this one by John Bunyan:
"Do you see more worth and merit in one drop of Christ's blood to save you, than in all the sins of the world to condemn you?"
(Keep in mind this is poetic language, Jesus could not have ransomed us with a paper cut).

"Run, John, run, the law demands, but gives us neither feet nor hands. Glad tidings the Gospel brings. Bids us fly and gives us wings."
Chuck Flurry
Whoops!
John Bunyan said the above. I thought I would stick with the theme of John Bunyan quotes.
"We are not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be." - C.S. Lewis
Melanie, I LOVED your quote. It strikes at the heart of how I feel right now.
How about this one from A.W. Tozer
"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."
“God is a personal reality to be enjoyed. We are so created and so redeemed that we are capable of enjoying him. All the movements of discipleship arrive at a place where joy is experienced. Every step of ascent toward God develops the capacity to enjoy. Not only is there, increasingly, more to be enjoyed, there is steadily the acquired ability to enjoy it. Best of all, we don’t have to wait until we get to the end of the road before we enjoy what is at the end of the road.”
