They were on their way back from a family reunion to do a wedding at El Dorado, they had a wreck and Jill was thrown from the car. They had to do CPR on her on the scene and rush her to the hospital. While they were at the hospital in Pine Bluff, they put her on a ventilator even though she was breathing on her own as a precautionary measure. They did a CT scan and it showed that there were some contusions, cerebral edema (swelling of the brain) and a subdural hematoma (bleeding from the veins around the brain). They airlifted her to UAMS at about 6 pm. Upon arriving they did an initial work up on her and she does have some bleeding in her abdomen. They have given her 7 units of blood, and are doing a lengthy surgery on her abdomen to find and stop the bleeding. The main concern is her brain at this point. We don't know how severe the damage is. The good news is that she was breathing on her own, she did not have any broken bones except for a small fracture in one of her lower vertebrates, and her vital organs are not damaged.

I just graduated in May and was a student of Mrs. Attebery's. I am praying so hard for her. She is a fighter and is not one to give up...if she was she would have given up on me a long time ago. However, she pushed me to be the nurse I am today and for that I am so thankful. I believe with all my heart she is fighting with all her might to get back to her baby and husband. She lives for HIM and is not afraid to show it. Thanks again! Love you Mrs. Attebery
Please keep your blog updated. I was a student of Mrs. Atteberry's and met Pastor Scott as well. We have kept in touch since her leaving SAU. She impacted my life in such a positive way. She and the family are in our prayers! Lord please Bless this family with your healing power!! --K'Lyn Crain
Thank you for keeping everyone updated on your blog. I do not know Jill but I've known her in-laws for many years and I've watched Scott grow up to become the wonderful young man he is today. I'm keeping Jill as well as Scott in my prayers and I've passed the prayer request along to others.
